BIO | Photojournalist Brittany Greeson's visual essay examines the lasting effects of coal mining in Appalachia by both honoring its heritage and exposing its role in the decline of the region. It was part of her 2020 Galloway for Reporting in Appalachia fellowship, with support from The GroundTruth Project and the Kentucky Documentary Photographic Project.
